STATINFO is building a roster of qualitative researchers for its studies and evaluations: in-depth interviews, key informant interviews and focus groups across Senegal.

Duties

  • Conduct in-depth interviews (IDI), key informant interviews (KII) and facilitate focus group discussions (FGD)
  • Follow interview guides, informed consent and participant confidentiality
  • Record, transcribe and, where needed, translate interviews into French
  • Write field notes and contribute to summaries and analysis

Profile

  • Sociologist or socio-anthropologist, or a background in social sciences
  • At least a bachelor's degree (Bac + 3)
  • Experience of qualitative data collection: interviews, focus groups, observation
  • Ability to transcribe and translate interviews conducted in national languages
  • Proficiency in qualitative analysis software (NVivo, Atlas.ti, MAXQDA…) is an asset
  • Available to work anywhere in Senegal

Joining the roster is not a commitment: selected people are contacted according to the needs of each study. The duration, location and terms of each assignment are specified when the assignment is offered.
